Your agent terminate our numbers by mistake

This happened yesterday (June 14). the story is I was trying to prepare to cancel all  our 5 numbers in the postpaid family plan in the end of this bill cycle, which is on June 28. But when the agent did it , he immediately terminated it. Not as I asked for. We , 5 people, have no phone service. I have been asking them to restore the numbers and continue my service until the bill cycle ends. But they said I have to buy prepaid to continue my service. This is really bad service I got. I have to pay full price that I can use 2 weeks instead of 4weeks.

By now, we don’t want the numbers back.we want the discount like 50% because we cannot use half of the duration of the plan by your mistake.

This forum is not customer support and ATT does not prorate the final month of service. You were going to pay for the full month regardless of when you cancelled. Not sure why you called, there is no need to prepare to cancel. Besides, if you want to keep your numbers, you need to port them to a different carrier. Porting also cancels them on ATT. If you do want to port them, you need the numbers active. You need to contact customer support directly.

Doesn’t  pass the sniff test.  If you call and cancel service, service continues until the end of the bill cycle.  

Service continues until the end of the bill cycle because you’re paying for it till the end of the bill cycle. If you port the number out or toss the SIM card, the service is active, but you have removed the means to receive it.

@lizdance40 I do not believe that is true. If you call and cancel, they can and will terminate service.

@sandblaster We all have no time at the end of bill cycle so we think we have to tell them in advance. We’re not US citizens .We don’t know what we should do, so we asked them in the chat to do that. But that is what happened

@sandblaster  I’ve called to cancel lines.  Service continued till end of bill cycle.  Just as we’ve been telling people for years.  If it was canceled in error, you have to go get new SIM cards.   Sure they cannot re-activate the Sim cards that you have.
