Why my newly created AT&T account got cancelled right after a day?

Took Iphone XS max from walmart for a Buy one get one offer. Got the first mobile from the stroe with a downpayment and at&t guys collected downpayment via online and said will ship the mobile. All this happened on Sunday , June 16th 2019. Today, i.e., June 17th, they deactivated the network in the morning and cancelled the shipment of mobile in the evening, without any proper intimation. Now the account is being shown as "Your Service has been cancelled". Can someone please help me with this?
