Want to cancel the order. Was lied by the representative.

I just ordered an Iphone 15 pro max (order no : ( Edited as per the community guidelines )) on my account . Already have 4 lines. Wanted to add a 5th one. Called att, and specifically asked about the total amount that would be added to my current bill (which is $203). I asked it about 15 times in 40 minutes call.

And everytime he said it would be about $53 (phone instalment plus the line and taxes). I asked again and again before placing the order. He kept reassuring me that it's his responsibility.

I paid $99 aa sales tax, and ordered.

Once all done by 8.40 pm (Tuesday, 02nd Jan 2024) I checked my atnt account at 9.15. It showed my order has been placed, and the monthly charges would be $76.43 for the new (phone and line).

$76 !!!!!

I called customer service. All they had to say was "Sorry, the person has lied to you".

I went online to cancel the order. The order is there. Not yet shipped. But there is no Cancel option.

I want my money back. This is totally unprofessional. This is scam. This is fraud.

I Have already faced such lying behavior at Atnt stores, that's why this time I ordered on phone (thinking that they may be reliable as the calls are recorded).

I need my money back, and the order cancelled. I don't want this service.

All the pricing is available online. Rather than asking that same person over and over, it would make more sense to verify with a different source. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is $33.34/month for the 256 GB model. If all of your lines are Unlimited Premium (the most expensive option), the 5th line if $25/month. That would be $58.34 + taxes and fees.

To cancel the order, send the new phone back when it arrives and call AT&T at that time to have the new line cancelled.
