Verification code not working

I'm trying to connect an apple watch to AT&T but it sends a verification code to my phone and when i type it in it says it's incorrect.

We suspect you were trying to process a NumberSync for your apple watch. To correct this error, we recommend you reset start the process all over to see if it clears the error.

 

Also ensure you are following these steps to NumberSync your apple watch to your phone.

 

If you are still experiencing the error, please let us know.

I did all of the following and it still says it’s incorrect. I go on the watch app and try to sign in and everything goes fine but then it sends me the text code and after I type it in it says the code is incorrect

In order to assist, we'd like to know more about your experience.

  • What is the make and model of your device?
  • How is the network coverage in your area, poor or strong?
  • Have you checked whether your phone has the latest software installed?
    • Visit our Device Support Center.
    • Select your device's make and model.
    • Select System followed by Software version to check which software you have installed. If one is available, follow the prompts on your device to download the latest version.

Also, make sure to set up iMessage on the primary device and that the watch is within Bluetooth range of the primary device. The initial update to complete set up of iMessage on the watch is done via Bluetooth.
