Unable to receive all calls, can call out and also limited texting

Hello,

 

Just curious if any others have had issues porting there phone # over where you cannot receive any calls. I can call out in some situations, and I seem to successfully send/receive texts from other ATT customers only, not Verizon or any other carriers so far.

 

ATT states my number shows successfully ported from Straight Talk, but when my Sim was tested in a Galaxy S6 at the ATT corporate store it had the exact same problems, yet I keep getting asked to troubleshoot the issue on my device even though it appears to be something on the backend. I only ported my number over last Thursday but I'm just about ready to cancel my "service" less than a week in because they only seem to care about what's wrong with my device versus fixing the issue.

 

This sound familiar to anyone?

Here is my response to the email I sent explaining the situation.

 

"'Im sorry to hear of your situation. Items like voicemails, text messages, etc, are not sent from one carrier to another when a line is being ported. For this reason, AT&T simply doesn't have access to those items. Customer's usually copy the content or send it to a third party where it can be forwarded to the new carrier."


So I have tried a phone call, two visits to the corporate store, live chat online, and now email and no one is even close to solving the issue.

Did you purchase an AT&T phone and get an AT&T SIM card?

Did you turn off any old phone you had with Straight talk?

I suspect one of two things;
1. your port did not complete because your old phone is still on. Or your port was done incorrectly at an authorized retailer.

2. Your phone is either not compatible with or not provisioned correct for AT&T services.
