Turn off data on Unlimited Plan

Hello. I recently switched to an Unlimited data plan but I still think it should be possible to turn off my daughters data if I need/want to. It seems like the option is no longer available to me. Not sure why this would be taken away.

Thanks

Hi @gcontois.

We understand that being able to manage family devices is important.

Please check out our information on AT&T Secure Family.

With this app you'll be in charge of many functions. One being limiting screen-time whether it's Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Let us know how this helps.

I don't think I should have to pay for something that is readily available in the non unlimited plan.

That's an option our team will have to explore, @gcontois!

If your current data plan does not include the ability to turn data off Device Support may offer specific instructions for your device.

We appreciate your feedback about the inability of customers on some AT&T plans to disable data for other devices on their account. Your remarks will be forwarded to the correct department for review and consideration.

Thank you for your participation in our Forums.

I just checked today and the option to shut off data is now back.

Not sure why but thank you to everyone for their time.
