Let's point you in the right direction to help transfer your number to us, Genehilber.

Thank you formerlyknownas for your great, expert information! You may want to visit our eligible devices that work on our network list to see if your device is able to work on our network.

As for porting in, you want to check if your number is eligible to transfer. Just insert your number and click Check my number. Once you confirm that your number is eligible you will share your account information from your current provider to start the porting process. Any wrong info may cause a delay.

Check a recent monthly bill or sign in to your current account to verify these:

  • Number you want to transfer
  • Account owner name and address
  • Account owner's Social Security number or Tax ID
  • PIN or password, if applicable
  • Current account number

Lastly, you may need to check the status of your transfer request by entering your phone number. If there is no status to show then you need to restart the porting process.

Is your service still active with Straight Talk? We're asking because cancelling service with your old provider will interrupt the process, and you will no longer be eligible to transfer your number over.

A few things to keep in mind

  • If you have a Straight talk or Tracfone branded device:account number is MEID or IMEI of the
phone (can find by dialing *#06#, in settings or behind the battery). If you did a BYOP (device is not branded Straight Talk or Tracfone), the account number will be the last 15 digits of your SIM card number. You can also view the account number in the My Account section of the Straight Talk website by clicking Add (or Edit) Nickname.
  • You will need to request a number transfer pin (NTP) prior to submitting the port by sending an SMS from your device to 611611 and include in the message “NTP”.  The NTP provided should be used in the password/pin field on the port request.

For additional help with this matter, please contact our Port Activation Center (PAC) at 888-898-7685.

Hours of operation:

  • Monday - Friday: 9am - 11pm EST.
  • Saturday - Sunday: 9am - 6pm EST.

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks again for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ They canceled our business account and now we're stuck with 3 Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra's that are basically garbage now since they're locked to AT&T. Either way AT&T has now turned into garbage don't use them. ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ We traded in devices worth about $3,460 dollars and they have now stolen our trade-ins and will not return them or fix our account. We plan on taking AT&T to Federal Court as we have exhausted all our options. Even small claims court or dispute resolution. We're moving our next route to Federal Court.
