Trade in
AT and T had promotion at sams club to trade in iPhone 11 for IPhone 14. I was told that as long as the trade in phone is not broken and in good condition, I will get credit of $750 to offset the cost of the new phone. After waiting for more than a month, I just receive a gift card of $130 in the mail since the company cannot confirm promotion eligibility. My old phone worths more than $130
This is the scam!!! I will call AT and T to find out why they only give me a credit of $130. If I do not get the credit as promised, I will file the complaint with the consumer protection agency so others will not be the victim of the AT and T scam in getting people switching courier.

I'm having the same issue I to received a letter and $130 card for my trade in of my XS Max. I was told it was supposed to be $1000 credit a promotion they had right before Christmas But now they are saying they don't have or never had that promotion.

I called AT and T and it turned out that there is no phone number associated with the phone that I traded in. As a result, the AT and T Customer service corrected the error so I will qualified for the promotion. I was on the phone for more than 1 hrs. He told me that I will get a credit of $800 by April 5, 2023 and I can keep the cash card of $130 to be used with the AT& T bills as the courtesy.
Hopefully, I do not have to call AT & T again for the next 3 years when my contract expires.

Here we are 2 months later I've talked to someone from AT&T office of the President. Lynda Brock she seen where I was qualified for the $1000 credit and claimed she was putting it in right then. She DID NOT I've talked to I can't even count how many agents in between. I contacted the BBB filed a complaint, just checked the response and someone said I was satisfied with the outcome. NOT
What else could I do?

Sorry to hear that you are still having problem. I still have the same problem that you are having. As of today, I still have not received my second trade in phone credit that I was promised last month. My suggestion is keep calling AT and T until it is resolved. I called AT and T last week and was the phone for over 1 hours and was promised that my credit will show up by next billing cycle. You have to repeat your problem all over again since you talked to a different representative each time. This is very frustrating but we have to keep calling until we get the credit that we were promised. Good luck.

Are you on an eligible Unlimited plan?
How long has it been since you talked to the OotP? You probably won't see the credits start until the next bill comes out.

It's been since February I've been trying to get the credits. And it seems everyone different I talk to I have to repeat the same problem.

I had the same problem that you have. You have to repeat your problem every time you called. If you are lucky, the representative understands your problem. Otherwise. you have to explain it in a way that the representative will understand. Otherwise he or she just follows the scripts that they are supposed to say to the customer. My advice is keep trying until at and t gets it right. I am still waiting for the correction in the next month billing cycle of see if the credit shows up. Good luck.

@Jtrue09 You didn't answer the question: How long has it been since you talk with the office of the president in regard to your BBB complaint? If you haven't received a bill since then, then that's probably why nobody can see that you're on the promotion.

I was promised a $1000 promotional credit on my S22 Ultra in Dec, 2022 at Sam's Club. I was later told there was no such promotion at that time. I was able to pull my email up with the paper work. I was told to wait 2 more billing cycles, I filed a complaint with the BBB finally someone called me from At&T office of the president, she told me she would personally apply my promotion credit. She then called me back and said she was unable to apply it to the phone, so she just applied it to my account. If I want to cancel this service will I lose that credit or will they apply it towards the phone installments? The service is awful.

@MicCheck I'm so sorry didn't see this until now. I spoke with someone in February around the 5th or 7th. But now I just want to get away from At&t.
