Trade in

Hello.  On Jan 26 I purchased an S22 but my phone did not qualify for a trade in.  I saw the new ad where you can trade in your old phone no matter the condition.  Could I still qualify for this & will it help my monthly bill if the trade in would be accepted.

You already posted this like 2 hours ago and AT&T reached out for you to private message them. I can tell you right now the short answer is no, You won't even qualify for the price protection option they offer.

If you purchased on Jan. 26, you're still in the 14 day return period. It might be a hassle, but you could try returning the new phone and then ordering another one under the new promotion. There will be a $55 restocking fee and if you have to wait for upgrade eligibility to be reset, it could take a few days.

Last March I trade my old S9 for a S22.  Got stiffed by AT&T because they said they never got the old one back to their return center.  WATCH OUT if you do this.  I am now paying 30 months for a new phone.  Still mad about it 11 months later.  I am sick of their bait and switch.

They just did this to me! 6 months later and solid proof their AGENT picked up my trade in and att denied my promo credit. I'm so mad! I'm paying for a phone I only wanted if I was granted the trade in of $800. Scam!!

If you have the evidence the agent picked up the package, file a BBB or FCC complaint. Those get escalated to someone at AT&T with the power to get things fixed (disclaimer: since I don't have additional details I'm not saying something is really wrong)
