Switching from Family plan to individual plan

My family plan will be over in a few days and I want to switch my plan to an individual plan. I am not the account owner. Do I need to go to a store or I can handle this online?

Hi @HanL217!

To take ownership of your line simply have the account holder process a Transfer of Billing Responsibility of your line to you. After accepting the transfer, you ar required to create your own account and select a plan.

We hope this info helps!

The account holder refused to transfer before shutting my phone off. I offered to pay his portion of the bill and 60 days to stay in good standing to keep my number. He said his credit is shot and after an hour on the phone with customer service he told me he can't help me. What are my options? I was in a debilitating accident and I need to save my line and number. Please help!
