stolen Iphone 6/ refund

On december 1 ordered 5 Iphone 6's for Christmas presents. Phones were scheduled to be delievered on dec 5. When i returned home that day phones were not there! Either UPS stole them ot someone stole them off of my porch. I contacted AT&T immedietly and they advised that they would issue me a refund but i would have to complete and pick up phones in store if I want phones before Christmas. After verifying with several reps that I would recieve my refund soon I went to store to make another order. I even had the manager at store contact sales to confirm that I would recieve refund in a few days because I did not want to pay for phones again without knowing when my refund would be placed back on my card. It has been a few days and still no refund. Just hung up with sales dept and NOW they are saying that it may take 45 DAYS to recieve refund! Starting to fill like I should have stayed with Tmobile!

If you are wanting to get replacements.  Why don't they just replace the phones instead of giving you a refund?  I would think that this would be the easiest way.

AT&T advised that they could not resend them because it is high risk and there has been a lot of thefts in our zip code. They canceled the first order and had me submit another order in store. I've already recieved the phones from the store. Just waiting for my refund for the first order.

That is what I was meaning.  Instead of having to send you a refund, just not charge you for the ones that you picked up at the store.  Where you just get the phones since they had already got the money for the first batch.

Advised that that was not possible because of diff deptartments. I have already paid for the second set of phones also

Did you find that you received better service in store? I am in the same situation and my claim, filed over the phone, has not been resolved after 8 days. I also have no ETA for resolution, so I have disputed the charge on my credit card until this is resolved. Meanwhile, I am stuck and can't upgrade.
