Sold Coverage that DOESNT work where we live

We signed up for AT&T wireless service because the sales guy told us it would work based on our address.  The coverage does NOT work where we live and we're wondering if there is a way to get out of this ridiculous "contract" without paying fees to switch back to Verizon.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

We should have known better when the store manager mentioned that he still has a second Verizon phone......

there is no contract anymore, if you got a new phone then you are responsible to pay off the phone, if you brought your own phone you can cancel at any time and pay for the days you had service, they dont prorate so you pay the full month, if its less than 14 days you can return the phone, pay for the month you were active.

And that's how they get you.  Over charge for a phone that you are stuck with them for 3 years ($300) OR pay $750 to get out of the "contract"

no the 750 is to pay off said LOAN aka installment agreement on the phone.

And the LOAN (aka installment agreement) is how they get you.  They advertise these phones for $300 (as long as you stay with us for 3 years to pay it off).  If you don't stay with us, even though our service (Edited per community guidelines) and we cannot live up to what we sold you, then sure, you can leave us, you just have to pay over 100% more for the cost of the phone....

@TBurchett  that's why you have 14 days to return all your phones and don't have to send in your old phones for the trade-in deal for 30 days. It is up to us customers to determine what carrier works best for us. Coverage maps are an approximation, there is no guarantee they will work at your home address.

No, it is not overcharging you to have you pay the fair, retail price that 98% of the other customers out there already pay for a phone. You signed up for a deal and the deal didn't work out so you want out - you pay retail. 

You should have taken advantage of the 14-day return.
