Sales team scammed and lied to me

I am utterly disappointed with my recent transfer to ATt Wireless. I went to the store to inquire about switching to ATT. I had three lines to switch and the lady I sat down with went through the breakdown. I was told I would get a 1000 credit for one trade in and 800 for the other two. I said great and she showed what my bill would look like. I said I wanted to think about it and would be back in the morning. Next morning I went in and talked to a separate person (who was there the night before and knew I was coming back). I went in and we sat down and went through the process again. He corrected what the lady said about the 1000 trade in and said it would 800 instead. I did great let’s order the phones. Throughout the entire time we talked about bill structure I was told I would get 800 trade in for each phone. NEVER WAS I TOLD IT WOULD BE UP TO 800. I even said I wanted to make a down payment when I order the phones to further lessen the phone balance. I asked what the balances would be on two of the phones and was told 300 with the 800 credit. I made a 200 down payment on two lines and he said your balance would be 100 (to be financed as part of the agreement). I decided to go with the switch based upon the information I was given. Two trade ins with 800 credit. The third line was with FirstNet since I am a first responder. Again, I was told I would get 800 credit with trade in. He even showed me what my bill would be without taxes and local fees. It was very comperable to my existing carrier. Everything seemed great. Got the phones, transferred info, and activated. Today I went to turn in my trade ins and was given a 330 credit and two 190 credits, not even close to the 800 credits I was told I would get atleast four times throughout the initial meeting. I was so furious I just left the store because I knew I was going to lose my cool. So I made a decision to switch to take advantage of trade in credits I was told I was getting. Now I have no idea how I am going to afford the monthly bill. I feel this is totally (Edited per community guidelines)!! Total misrepresentation by the sales team and I feel I was lied to my face. I don’t care what the fine print says, the way they sold me the plans was totally unethical and unprofessional especially after I asked several times about the trade in credits. I want answers and want to know who I can contact because I was duped and scammed. Totally disgusted with this carrier switch.

Not how it works.

The amounts that you were given on the receipt prove that your phones are worth more than the $95 minimum to get $800 in credits.

You will get the $800 in credits as monthly bill credits over 36 months assuming you have and keep unlimited data plan.   Bill credits starting approximately 3 months with makeup credits for the missing first and second month.

Then I must apologize for my ignorance. That wasn’t explained to me so I automatically assumed. That is on me. Thank you for responding and setting me straight. You have a great day

@Constructive

Not to worry, I've taken care of that random unrelated post. I didn't realize we could move them within the Forum

Good luck I was scanned too promised 5 lines for 130.00 including tax. No activation fee, free I phones 14 if I stay for 36 mths. They said trade ins had to be I phone 8 or galaxy 8 and above for 1000 credit if I wanted pro max I had to pay 100.00 more per phone which I agreed. My 1st bill was 895.00 dollars. I called found out each line was 55.00  that’s a total of 275.00 for service plus 30.36 per phone plus 35.00 activation. Fee per line plus phone, ins fee of 45.00 and 19.00 and taxes. I complained they waived activation fee and ins fees brought my bill to 595.00. After several calls no action I filled a complaint with FCC waiting for resolution. My service was suspended cause I would not pay the 595.00 till it was solved.  Well now I got a second bill for over 500.00 of which 101.00 for taxes.   Now they are telling me I have to pay 55.00 per line plus 30.36 per phone and taxes until the credits are applied that it takes 3 mths.   They will not give me a copy of what I signed. I am going into my second month the service is bad and all I want is for them to take their phones back, give me back the 595.00 and 350.00 in taxes that I paid. They definitely lie I did not go to the store. They send a repair person to my house and a salesman came along which I did not know at the time. The person said he was there to make sure the tech did his job. The conversation turned into a sales pitch which I fell for. Can any please help. The office of the president called me to acknowledge they where reviewing my complaint.   I think they are lying it’s a department who handles complaints.  I want to get out of this how can I do it. I signed the contract 3/10… service was activated 3/31… now June no resolution.

@blanca_bzuniga67  Any complaint filed with the BBB or FCC are automatically forwarded to AT&T Corporate. They in turn assign it to a Senior Manager in the Office of the President. Those folks have the authority and resources to handle most issues. That is as high as you can go in AT&T for complaint resolution.

Can't tell because of the way you posted but it sounds like you have AT&T internet which gets you 25% off AT&T wireless service.

Pick your plan level...

But yes 5 lines after phone credits kick in can be $130 before tax.

Five lines on the starter plan is $30 each = 150 less 25% = $112.50

That price depends on and is stackable with the auto pay and paperless billing discount of $10 per line.
