Oregon City, OR 97045 - Can't place calls 4/16 - est. 4/21 due to tower service
Greetings fellow AT&T'ers 🙂 Posting this since live chat is unavailable...
So the lovely town of Oregon City, OR is experiencing a widespread mobile service outage. What I hear is that there's a local tower being worked on and as a result we haven't had service since Monday 4/16, and it's estimated that the issue won't be fixed until the end of Saturday 4/21.
My experience dealing with this issue is that my service fluctuates between 0 and 2 bars at the most, and I am able to place an outgoing call but the recipient is completely unable to hear me; I can't receive inbound calls; and receipt of my voicemail messages is delayed by a full day. Texting works as normal.
I am able to successfully place calls using wifi calling, but since I'm waiting on an extremely important call (job interview) this effectively leaves me housebound during business hours. Also, it is a disconcerting notion that if I am hurt while out somewhere (especially since I can only travel via bicycle in an area where cyclist/pedestrian hit & runs by motorists are rampant), I won't be able to make an emergency call.
So my question is: given this level of inconvenience for so long, by any chance could the individuals affected receive some kind of compensation? I love AT&T and am happy to pay for the normally excellent service, and understand that technical issues do happen, but I still find it hard to accept an interruption this bad while still paying full price.
Thank you!
