Old phone accounts

My brother n laws phone record shows he still has his ex wife’s and her two kids cell phones on his plan. He says he doesn’t pay for their phone bills anymore, but is that possible? Why does it still show their numbers on his account

His bills will show exactly what he's paying for. If their numbers are on the bill, he's paying for them.

Sounds like he doesn’t think he’s paying for their phones, but likely still is.  Did he actually ever remove them from his plan?  Specific action has to be taken to remove lines from a family plan.  Either remove them via a transfer of billing responsibility, or simply cancel the lines.

Unless he did a transfer of billing responsibility or a ported out *this bill cycle*,  which means there would be a partial prorated amount for each phone line, he is still paying for their service.

He either has to initiate a transfer of billing responsibility, or call AT&T and cancel those phone numbers.
