Not Happy with the Rewards
The story begins with me buying 3 new iPhones from AT&T in March 2020. They mailed me my phones. I put the phones back in box as directed. To my knowledge the phones went to a warehouse different than the trade-in warehouse. So from April to Oct I have called. I have created numerous cases, I have escalated numerous cases, I have applied for the trade-in online, I have talked to rewards people, I have talked to trade in people. With that being said I have been promised $900 credit on my bill ( 3 phones x $300), I have been promised $20 credit on my bill until credit is used up, I have been promised $300 credit on my bill, I have been promised someone would call me back numerous times, and been told I would get email about the status. With that being said I got NOT what I was told, nor promised. I expected to get a Visa card for $900 as that was the discussion with multiple ATT&T employees. But the reality is that I have spent no less than 60-80 hours on hold with ATT&T which has a value of close to $12 an hour. So I deserve what I was told and my hourly rate I believe. I have no intention in recommending them to anyone and once another carrier has a special I am pulling my account away, but they have me handcuffed due to their payment plan that I agreed to. I also agreed to receiving $900.

We appreciate your feedback, @edwingerace.
We'd hate to see you go because you're not happy with rewards, and regret to hear that you've spent in excess of 3 days on hold. We believe your time can be valued much more than $12 an hour. However, its not our tradition to pay our wireless customers at this time.
We recommend reaching out by email to AT&T Trade-in Support to avoid holding by phone, for help with a solution. Take care!
