Newgistics "Lost" my return!!!

AT&T Premier Customer / RMA # ************

I dropped the phone off at my local USPS Post Office with the Parcel Select Return Service label provided to me by AT&T on 9/25.  Today is 10/1 and Newgistics has no additional tracking information regarding this return.

I live in Austin and the phone turns out is going to Ft Worth--  not sure why it's been nearly a week and I've not received any type of update or confirmation.  I contacted the Post Office per AT&T and they tell me that these Smartlabel Returns go through another carrier (Newgistics) and we'd need to contact them.

This is worrying because of the "horror" stories I've been reading about other customer's similar return issues with Newgistics.  I'm shocked that AT&T continues to partner with them given the number of customer complaints out there.

I need to get more information from AT&T on the status of this return.

Have others here dealt with this?

Att Sent me a return kit so I sent att my SPRINT iPhone 8plus , as they
requested. - I have the receipt to the parcel (phone) I sent to an att
parcel receiving address. I googled it, it is affiliated with att. and
ATT keeps saying they have no record of the return kit or the sprint phone
I sent att. So I’m stuck with a 781 dollar SPRINT bill when I could have
simply returned my phone to sprint and gone to att and got a new plan plus
phone without att taking my sprint phone and haveing absolutely no record
of it. I hope that’s clear.

Much more clear now that I understand that  to you "having no record" = "lying".  Why do you think it's lying and not an incompetent support person?

It's not clear that if you could have return the phone to Sprint, why would you even bother going through the all hoops at AT&T???

This offer is designed for people who owe money and can't return their phone.

AT&T made you turn in the phone and all they were going to do was credit you a MAXIMUM of $650 for what you owed Sprint for the phone, if you could turn in the phone to Sprint when you owed $781, that seems WAY EASIER.

I'm also a little confused why you'd buy an $800 phone and then shortly thereafter switch to another company, but that's a different discussion.

Do you have a tracking receipt?  If you have a tracking number, use it with USPS and Newgistics website.

If you don’t you have no record it was sent.

In either case, you’re screwed.  You should never have sent your phone to ATT, who isn’t going to give you spit for it.   Meanwhile you still have to pay Sprint.

Terrible move.   For gosh sakes find out how things work before making such a pricey move.  ATT trade in pays maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of the phones value...not the retail cost, the value.

It depends:

Did you get a receipt from dropping it off at the post office?

Do you have your tracking number?

No, not at all.  And your the only one on this forum who has not been a fake. The other responders have all known too much about the other sides position to be a consumer.

No ATT employee has been able to resolve my problem.   I have the receipt from USPS that clearly shows I sent my SPRINT phone to ATT but ATT has no record of it at all.  Not sending me the return kit, not the phone nothing.  So they say.

So, I get to pay sprint 781 dollars for a phone I don’t get to keep and ATT has no knowledge of whatsoever.  A real mind f@!k!

They know about it because they read about it incessantly in the forums.
