Yes the net neutrality rules themselves are not that old but in order for the FCC to impose them, they had to classify broadband providers as common carriers under Title II of the Communications Act of 1934 which means all the old out of date rules apply too.

Hey, no problem. My “old rules” post did need clarification. You know, if any of the broadband providers start doing what the regulation advocates say they will do, I will be just as upset as everyone else. However, ATT and all of the major broadband providers have consistently said they support a free and open internet and won’t do any of those things everyone fears. They say the market and competition will prevent that from happening. They are not now or have ever been against the concept of net neutrality that I have ever seen, they are against any regulation because regulation historically hampers technical advancement. I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and at least wait and see if any of those bad things happen.

folks more money. They were fighting hard to get rid of net neutrality and
at same time were telling public that they are fighting to keep it. They
lie.

You just did. You can copy and paste links, if that’s what you mean.
The entire issue is silly. ATT didn’t pick and choose before NN took effect, and they didn’t after it was repealed. They aren’t going to change now either.
Just another “favor” we didn’t need

Just because they haven't yet doesn't mean they won't.
