My AT&T App

So I'm on a regular at&t shared family plan and I'm curious can anyone sign up and use the my at&t app with their number from their phone? Or is it just one person per acct who can have access to this? That being the main account holder? Because when I went to try to put my number in to create a new user ID to get setup with the app it locked my acct saying I had to many unsuccessful tries when I was only trying to get a new user ID. I'm lost. 🤦‍♀️

my At&t app is only used by the account owner are you the account owner?

I'm not the account owner but it is noted I do have permission to make decisions and what not on the acct. but I'm guessing that's not gonna matter or come up on an app lol. I was just curious on the apps on my phone and thought it would be cool to have this set up but I guess it's a no go.

no you can actually download it and login if you have the login info. I should have been more clear with my response. Anyone with the login info can use it.

Hello,

You need to request a login from account holder (create new, then select my name does not appear on bill). You might be authorized user, but account holder’s name is only one that appears for main login. If they don’t share theirs, the request feature emails them to approve your ID.

Are you entering your 10-digit phone number?
Talk to the account owner.
The only thing that I can think of is that you are a prepaid multi-line, not a postpaid family plan.

Hello,

The account holder (name on bill) sets up the MyAT&T app (same info as att.com). You, as a user, can go to the app and select “create one now” and when promoted in flow about is your name on bill or user, select “my name is NOT on bill” and this will allow you to send a login request onto account holder (via email). Once they open and approve this you’ll get an email back saying you cincomplete your login setup. This is because you are joined onto their family plan.
