missing returned package
having same issue. go in for a good deal, receive the "better" updated phone, turn in my perfectly good phone. take to the drop off location with Fed Ex, now all of a sudden, no record with anyone. Store, At&t, USPS, Fed Ex, no one. And now after 15 years of being a Customer, they want to do nothing about it. Oh well. FREE phone for us and we will resell it, and we will then charge you for the FULL PRICE of the new phone, in hopes that you don't notice on your bills.
This is FRAUD, and something should be done about this. this is uncalled for!!!! Better system, better Management to deal with, all around a joke to deal with. And this isn't a couple hundred dollars they are dealing with, it is at least a $1,000 phone every time they are doing this. I agree with Gary L. whole heartedly........
My issue with this is that I'm not choosing USPS/Newgistics, AT&T is.
As AT&T won't even give me an address, I don't even have the choice to purchase insurance or ship with a different company.
To me, this puts it all in AT&T's court. I delivered it as requested.
If not, they need to make it easier to ship back via a store (authorized or not authorized) a quick check that it's not broken/damaged, a few photos and it's out of your hands (and in theirs).

I have this same exact issue and AT&T refused to help. I upgraded THREE phones in December and shipped them all back at the same time in January and AT&T has only credited me with one phone. I would like to be contacted by AT&T as I have already spoken to multiple reps. They tell me I have to track down the package with the post office. I shouldn't have to do this. I used the AT&T label and have the post office receipt. AT&T should give me my credit and track the phone down if they really need it. And it's an old 8+ to boot so not like you are reselling it. I would really like assistance. 20 year customer here
