Lying lying and more lying

Phone said SOS on Monday, went in on Tuesday to get a esim because I’ve dealt with my parents phone with the same issue and that’s the only thing that fixes it. When I went in and asked for a esim the person working there tells me “we’re out of esims and we can’t help you with that right now”. Which is a complete lie. It’s Saturday now and I’ve been on the phone with customer service from 9am to 6pm right now trying to get a esim on my phone but they can’t help me because I can’t give them a pin and they have to send it to my phone which dosent work. I have taken vacation from work for 2 days trying to get this squared away and no luck. Have been without service for almost a week now. My father in law has missed his kemo appointment the hospital wasn’t able to reach me and get it scheduled. And so many other things that have gone wrong. Been with AT&T for 12 years and I’ve never had horrible customer service and experience like this before. One of manager I talked to even threatened to hang up on me because I was getting so frustrated. I have lost all faith in the company.

At&t uses a physical QR card for eSIM activation if you went to a store.  How do you know that they didn't have anymore? It is conceivable they could be out of eSIM cards.  There has been a shortage of physical SIM cards for the past 3 years.

You have to know the account PIN code in order to do anything.  It's SOP.  As soon as I walk into a Verizon store to start any sort of service they asked me for my phone number, PIN code, and then they send a two-factor authentication code to my phone.

If you have forgotten your account security PIN code they have to send you a two-factor authentication text.

It sounds like you should be complaining to Apple. This is their crappy update that throws their iPhones into SOS mode.

Recommendations to get a phone out of SOS mode is to plug it into charge for 1 hour. Press and hold on the Power button and Volume Up or Down button for iPhone X/11/12/13/14. Press the Side or Top button for older iPhones.
