Lost all balance

lost all prepaid balance.  Highly annoyed to have to add money by a dead

line.  Had no notice.  Don't use $25 in any three months so had a big balance built up -now lost.  Ready to go to another company.

Well since you lost your balance there's nothing holding you.

If you are on a pay-per-use plan at $2 per day or $0.35 per minute, you must refill on time, or you will lose your balance.

$25 is good for 90 days. A $100 refill is good for $365 days.

If you find your balance is increasing, use your phone. You can't get the money back.

So they are at fault because you didn’t pay on time? @formerlyknownas  Typical Sunday post

Constructive:  They are a huge rip-off to steal a big balance because I was a day late to send them more money.  Not a consumer friendly policy.  They don't believe the customer is ever right.

@Skippack22

Steal a balance that you're not using up anyway?  🤔

    There is a misconception for why you pay what you do and why it's not refundable.  You aren't buying minutes.  You are paying AT&T to keep your account open for a number of days.

If you aren't using up the balance with calls and text, the balance goes up, but The amount of time you have purchased does not.

Since you have minimum investment now in AT&T, it's time for you to find a different service provider. There are two dozen AT&T MVNOs operated as completely separate businesses many of them have lower cost plans for talk and text only.

    For someone like you who uses very little service, you might try red pocket mobile which has a package of minutes, and text messages, and a small amount of data for a very small charge every month.

    Make sure you go to the red pocket website and check out exactly what You are paying for and how service works.

To port your number You have to call AT&T for your account number and you have to know your security PIN code.

The best way to keep from losing your balance is to auto pay. That way you don't lose your balance and don't have to worry about when you need to pay.

Late is late they are a business not a charity. It’s up to you to manage your account not AT&T.
