Lies lies lies lies lies lies
My husband, myself and father in law were all on T-Mobile. I opened our AT&T Fiber first a few months later we started to transition from T-Mobile. My husbands phone was paid off so he was the first line. He got the 13 pro max with the installment plan. Some months pass it’s my turn to come over. I paid the rest of what I owed on my 12 pro max and switched my number and added my line to AT&T. So I go to try and upgrade and now they want me to pay full price for an upgrade! Eventually we get my father in law added. We have 3 wireless lines and AT&T fiber and I can’t even get an installment plan for my upgrade? My bills aren’t past due with them so I’m confused to why I can’t get the installment upgrade. Before switching to AT&T the store told me to pay my phone off and use it as a trade it, and now I can’t. Idk I’m kind of lost

1. Every service provider has a maximum amount of credit that they will extend to new customers. I find AT&T to be very picky about its credit policies.
2. If you switch to AT&T with a BYOD, which it seems you did, you'll be blocked from upgrading for 90 days.
So if you are going to switch and want to buy a new phone do it in the same transaction or expect to wait 3 months.
