Issue while using Promo code on Accessories
I recently booked an order with AT&T by transferring my number from Sprint to AT&T along with buying iPhone 6 Plus in the same order. The chat agent gave me a $75 off accessories Promo code.
I did check with the agent if I can use this promo code later. I did not want to use it while booking my order.
Agent confirmed that I can use it later. This happened 2 days back.
Today I was trying to order few accessories, but the Promo code was not recognized.
I was trying to get this issue resolved on phone/chat. Nothing seems to be working.
Support team tells me that I can only use the Promo code while booking iPhone order.
The only reason why I did not do so is because the agent clearly told me on chat that I can use it later.
Agents on chat say that this has to be handled by sales rep.
Then I called sales team at 1-800-331-0500, who said it has to be fixed by chat team since the Promo code was given by chat team.
I spent 3-4 hours this morning on chat and call.
Am a new user trying to join AT&T family and my first experience makes me question my decision of moving to AT&T.
Can anyone tell me how do I escalate this issue? Whom should I mail to? Do I need to get in touch with Consumer court? Is there a separate forum that can handle such issues.
Personally, It has been a very bad experience for me.
