I get error TBWLSB-118 when trying to transfer billing responsibility
Hello,
My wireless account is under my wife's name. Unfortunately, she passed away a few years ago and I need to transfer the billing responsibility to my name. Every time I go through the TOBR process, I get the following error during the credit check step:
We're sorry. Based on your credit check, we can't complete your transfer request. Please close your session now. (TBWLSB-118)
My credit report is fine and I have no negative items. I called AT&T support last week and instead of helping me with my problem, they signed me up for home internet and left me hanging. :-(
Is there anyone that can help me with this issue? Thank you.

You have to take a death certificate to a corporate store. They will close out your wife's account and create a new account in your name. I believe as a surviving spouse on the same account you can keep the plan unless you choose to switch to one of the newer plans.
