How to remove a line from an AT&T family plan and add it to its own individual plan?

I am on a family plan with AT&T but am not the account owner. I want to get off my family plan and get an individual plan (also with AT&T). How can I do that? I want to keep my number, and I don't want to dissolve the entire family plan - just take myself off. Thanks!

The account owner needs to process a transfer of billing responsibility of your line to you. When you accept the transfer, you will get your own account and plan. More info here: https://www.att.com/acctmgmt/tobr/
