Hi there, Community! There are a couple of steps you will need to complete in order to transfer your wireless number to another provider. We have outlined the steps below, or you can find all the information you'll need via our Transfer your wireless number to another provider support page.
Here’s how to get started:
First, you will want to request a Number Transfer PIN to begin the process. This PIN replaces the account pass-code you had to use prior when transferring your service.
From your AT&T mobile device
Call *PORT. Follow the prompts to get your Number Transfer PIN sent to you via text. You'll need your current wireless pass-code to complete your request.
OR
With the myATT app
Online with myAT&T
Heads up: AT&T employees can’t generate a Number Transfer PIN on behalf of the customer.
Find these details and more on our Transfer your wireless number to another provider support page. Make sure to check out the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS where you will find answers to your common questions about the Number Transfer PIN, including:
How do I cancel a Number Transfer PIN request?
Thank you for visiting AT&T Community Forums!
Thanks

You need your account number and account pin. The pin is something you set yourself through your online account. If you have prepaid service, you will need to call for your account number, otherwise it’s on your bill.

What is the process to port a LANDLINE number to a new wireless carrier? (Spectrum Wireless in my case.)
I am trying to help my parents who are moving from their home with AT&T Landline service to a retirement facility that is only Spectrum Cable TV and Wireless. I need to port their existing LANDLINE number over to Spectrum Wireless. Is there an easy way to get the Transfer Pin to do this?
Thanks!

The process hasn’t changed in the 2 years this was posted.

The last 4 digits of the landline account number is the transfer PIN.

Thanks, MicCheck. That worked. Constructive's comment is not accurate for landline numbers.

All steps initially posted followed, but still not porting over. Does the number in question have to be moved to its own account? it's currently grouped with 3 other numbers (2 phone's, two wireless internet routers)
