How do I find my account number

I'm having trouble finding my account number is it my user login or can I find it somewhere else

Try looking on your AT&T or DirecTV bill or if that doesn't work you can try your email and a few passwords that you may think you have set it as.

I’m glad you have reached out to us inquiring on where to find your account number. We definitely want to make sure you know where this information is kept so you always have access to your account details.


To find your account number, you can login to your online account or view it on your billing statement. To view it online, you will login, go to Profile > Login Information, in the My linked accounts section, you will find your account number. To view it on your bill, it will be on the first page at the top right corner.

What a terrible answer.

 I just got a new account online and I'm told I need to set up a myatt account and pin, yet I can't do either because I need my billing account number, which I can't get until I log in!!!!!

Not even one month in and I'm already starting to regret choosing this carrier.

Been having this same issue!!! My boss even tried opening a business account...same issue. Once we sign up online, how do we obtain our new account number? They sent me an email telling me the last 4 digits...but that's!!! 😩😢😡😪😔

Been trying to access an email account after the sbcglobal.net changes over a year ago, and the above is AT&T in a nutshell. If they aren't deliberately misleading and evasive, and or haven't deliberately made their website and processes impossible to use, then they are one of the least competent companies on earth. As painful as it may be, I strongly recommend moving on. You can do better with two tin cans and a string.

I logged in to my account, went to Profile and settings but there is no such thing as Log in information, went through all the tabs and still can't find that account number. Why is it never easy with you guys?

Do you have a postpaid account? If so, it's easiest to just look at the bill.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread but I just started postpaid service with att today. I actually just unboxed my new gold 512gb iPhone xs max and activated it about 20 mins ago. I don’t have a bill yet, I do have the packing slip if that helps any? If not is the only way to get the account number for a new account, by calling att customer service? Thanks for any replies guys, I appreciate it.

No, Angelina, we're not a bunch of dolts who don't know to look on our bill... The customer service rep is asking for the billing acct number so she can send me a PIN to log in to the website. I keep giving her the number you referenced, printed in the top right hand corner of the first page of my bill. That's not the number she wants. She wants a number that was set up when we first created my account, she says. It would have been in the welcome email. Well, that's a problem bc we've had this account for 2 decades when AT&T was Cingular. Sheesh! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

WHY can't they call this account something else besides the billing account number for identification purposes? And why can't there be an easier way to get my PIN? Agree with FedUP_01, AT&T is one of the least competent companies (if not THE LEAST) on earth!
