Family secure location

Why is att family secure location showing another family members location rather than their own ?

Let us help you correct that family member's line so that you can track them while using AT&T Secure Family, @Ashleyconner!

 

Check the child contact telephone numbers of the lines you're tracking which are listed under Settings > Account. If incorrect or swapped you will want to apply the steps below to correct the line(s).

  1. Cancel your AT&T Secure Family subscription by going to the gear icon (upper right-hand corner) and select Settings > account > Cancel Secure Family.
  2. Once the subscription is canceled you should wait 30 minutes (this is important to wait for the system to reset) then sign up again as a new AT&T Secure Family customer.
    • You should be able to go back into the app and see the list of phone numbers under your account and select the number you wish to assign as the parent.

Please be advised that if you have an AT&T wireless account and only want basic location features, you don’t have to pair devices. However, location tracking won’t be as accurate, and you won’t be able to use most of Secure Family’s features.
