ENJOY added protection plan without my consent. Fraud

I went into the store to buy a new iphone 13. They were not in stock, but I was informed that it could be delivered.  Like all the others before me, I suffered from Enjoy's abysmal customer service during this sales pitch disguised as a delivery. After finally taking possession of my phone - which apparently could only be done inside my house, as others have reported,  I was shocked to see that a device protection plan was added to my account without my consent.  I have AppleCare on my phones and would never buy an additional protection plan. The Enjoy agent claimed there was a problem with the registration of the phone, and he processed a return and then repurchased the phone while in my house.  I now believe he did this to add the protection service, unasked.  If AT&T is monitoring this forum, please contact me about removing this unauthorized service immediately.

You can log onto your account and remove it.

It wasn’t necessarily Enjoy that added the protection plan, it could have been the store. There have been multiple complaints about stores adding unwanted insurance. You may also want to check your account for Next Up too. As noted, you can easily remove yourself.

We do apologize for the inconvenience brought by the added protection plan. As MicCheck and sandblaster stated, the protection plan can be removed by logging into your myAT&T > My wireless > Get or manage add-ons > Choose the device you want to update> Select the add-on you want to change or choose Get add-ons (features) for your device and following prompts to add, update or remove your add-ons.
