Device unlock a joke

I submitted a request to unlock my phone. I recieved the email at 1203 am i tried to confirm on the link 14 hours later. It said link was expired. It hasnt been 24 hours yet. So why does att play games on crap like this. This is the 2nd phone i've had problems getting unlocked.
