device plan pay off
At and t switch program is suppose to honor device plan pay off, but insist that it has to say the words EFT. However, with no contract, it will never say eft, and they are holding me to those three letters.

@Nomorescams Shouldn't matter device payoff OR ETF. See http://att.com/switch

Yes to all, and I did get the value of the trade in on my three phones that I ported over. But I owed more than that on the phones, and thats my plan pay off that they won't take care of because it doesn't say ETF, and it Does seem to matter.
It states: Must go to & upload or mail final bill w/in 60 days showing Early Termination Fee (ETF) or device plan balance (incl. lease purch. costs) on number ported.
Without contracts any longer, there will be no ETF, and this seems to be the scam. Many others seem to have the same issue. I did everything correctly, but will not pay it off because no ETF on Final bill.

Who is telling you the final bill must say "ETF"? That is definitely not true. The final bill does have to clearly show the device payoff amount.

If the bill is not noted properly with the Same phone numbers, the systems gets stuck.
I suggest you take the final bill to an ATT store and have them show you how to fill in the online form and upload the correct bill.

You keep saying some variation of this statement, but not
Did you submit the final bill on-line? Did it come back with that error?
They refund these all the times for the phone charges, we need more details.

Are you feeling like you don't know what you are talking about? No one is implying that you don't know what you are talking about.
Although you did say you already got the value of the phones part, I'd think that's more than a penny...
IMPORTANT!
We're asking you questions that you aren't answering...
We're also saying it should cover it, so if you answer the questions we might be able to point you in the right direction.

People have successfully switched and been reimbursed with device payments. Many, many people. So to be blunt, it's just you at this time as no one else has this complaint. The only assumption I can make is your final bill is not showing the correct information. The phone numbers, and phones have to be on the bill with the device payments and all match up.
Did you take it to an ATT company store for help?
Have you contacted ATT? @ATTCares. By private message?
