Customer chat stopped responding to my messages
I've only been with this service for a month, and they changed my monthly fees to the highest one right out the gate. I've put in one question to this forum already and an ATT person reached out to me through direct message. They said that we should schedule a time to call or I can call a business support number, the same number I called before and was stuck on the line for 3 hours and they still ended up getting it wrong. I come home from work everyday to respond to a single messages and have to wait for the next day for a response and today they didn't respond... What the (Edited per community guidelines) ATT? Am I talking to real people here? How would you feel about this? Now I have to wait for someone from ATT to respond to this message... and start the cycle all over. Why is this service so horrible? To top it off I get snarky comments from the moderators here. Like I have to waste more time and energy talking to multiple people, telling the story over and over.

The moderators on this forum are either an automated bot, which just removes language that shouldn't be posted here, or an actual moderator who will just make a simple statement about 'being aware of what you were posting'. They don't have 'snarky' in their toolbox.
Direct messages through this forum will end when that person has to clock out. And if you don't start a chat with them for hours, it can end before you even check in.
So, you don't need support. You can change your data plan at any time. Just log into your account and do it. Managing your account online is easy.

Yeah I can see how its done online. I'm just in a position where they've been charging me at a higher rate since I got the service. I need it refunded.

You're probably going to have to talk to loyalty for that. Which means you're going to have to call.
Some of the people (ATTHelp) who work the Forum have been doing it for a while and are pretty good. But I can always spot the new ones because they don't answer questions right. No indication that they even read questions or posts or they give crazy answers that are obviously incorrect.
