Current $300 VISA Promo

I bought two new iphone XR on 5/27/2019, there was a promotion that offers a $300 VISA gift card plus the BOGO free when you activate two lines, etc. I activated service over a month already, but i haven't receive any email or letters on how to redeem the gift card, i try to enter my account number in the ATT reward gift card website, but nothing is there yet.  I met all the requirements but didn't receive anything.

Good morning @jwong3854,

We'd be glad to assist you. Where did you place the order? Your BOGO credits will be applied within 3 billing cycles. We recommend making sure that your account still qualifies for the promotion. Check this support article on 2019 BOGO offers for more information. Thank you.

I have the same problem. Purchased on May 28, 2019 but never received any email or letter. Please do keep me in loop if you ever get a chance to talk to the Reward Center representative. I was on hold for more than 1 hour. So far, I have no luck. Cannot call at night after my shift. In the morning and lunch time, I was on hold for more than 1 hour. Got to go to work and cannot keep holding the phone.

My current assumption is they are intentionally making it hard for us to get the $300 reward so that AT&T can keep it for themselves. Hope that this assumption is wrong. It's incredible that they are making it super hard or nearly impossible to contact or create a support ticket regarding this. We should be able to create a support ticket from our AT&T account to resolve this matter.

Overall, hope that we all can help each other on this. Worst case scenario, we all complain to the FTC and the congress about this issue.... if it is really a scam. Thus, if any of you have the same problem, please share in the same post so that we can read at the same time. Later on, we can also complain to the appropriate channel at the same time. The more voice/support, the better.

A colleague advice me to call the local Investigative Chanel News about this ( I live around South San Jose, CA). I saw some of the program investigating SCAM by companies. I am thinking about it if I don't get this resolve by this weekend.

Here is the link for NBC Investigative Unit ( for Bay Area, CA ). However, I believe even though you are not in the Bay Area, you should be able to submit the tip/complaint about this issue since it affects throughout the nation.

Hope we all can work together and get AT&T to do the right action, keep their promise instead of scamming us.

Just submitted a complaint to BBB for my case. Will update you all on the outcome.

I would recommend that all of you that have the same problem to submit a complaint also. The more, the merrier. I used the link below.

AT&T did not enter the promotion to my account. Cust rep, Heather, had to
enter it manually and said it should show up in reward center website in
7-10 days. Today is the 9th day and nothing showed on the reward center.

Also complained to BBB and Ms. Lolita Harris promised on her email to have
the visa reward within 14 days after reviewing my case. That was around a
week ago. Ms. Lolita Harris is tricky. When she responded to my complain
from BBB, she said she called me but she was not able to reach me. That was
a lie. She never called. There was no log on my phone or my AT&T account
showing she called. However, she pushed a message in my voicemail box. Told
her to stop doing that(just pushing messages to my mailbox) and to call me
instead. She never did call.

My suggestion:
1. Complain to BBB - note what I mentioned above about Ms. Lolita Harris.
2. Call the reward center in the morning... I called at 7am PST
3. Keep track of all calls and messages,eg. Emails.
4. Still problem... call your congressman or congresswoman to ask for help.
My last resort if I still so not get the $300 reward card.

Thanks for the update.  How are you checking online on the rewards website?  I had to use my wireless account number and zip code to check the status.  The cell phone number won’t work.

That's correct. You have to use the wireless account number and zip code.
You do not use the phone number. When did you purchase your phone from AT&T
online?

I purchased them July 12th.  August 13th I called the reward center and the automated system had me call 800-675-9459.  Long wait but the lady added my reward manually.  Few days later I was able to see the status online on the rewards website.  I’m waiting for it to mail, the estimated date is 25Aug.  Fingers crossed.

Hi,

Just got it today and activated the card to make sure it works.

My guess is AT&T is intentionally making their customer call the reward
center to get the reward. Furthermore, AT&T make it very hard to call the
reward center with super long wait. If customers don't call or request the
reward, they will forget and lose the $300 reward. Very bad practice. Not
happy with such deceitful business practice.

I guess AT&T just like to sell their soul to the devil for money. It's so
hard to find a honest business these days.

That’s awesome!!!  Yes I must say it’s painful to get our rewards.  Let’s see what happens with mine.

Would you you mind letting me know when your BOGO credits started applying?  Did you have to pay for 1 or 2 installments before the credit showed up?  Were they prorated?

I am having the SAME exact issue!!  I also ordered my phones through the BOGO + $300 reward card on July 12th.  I called the rewards call center today (8/19) and the first lady I spoke with said I didn't qualify because the promotion ended in June.  Wait, what???  The promotion is STILL being advertised on their website and it's on my receipt!  I asked to speak to a supervisor (Michelle) and she looked at my account at length (37 minutes to be exact) and wasn't sure why the reward wasn't on there but was going to have to look into it and call me back.  I'm not holding my breath waiting on a call back.  However, I will give it until tomorrow.  It seems to be a common theme here.  I'm glad to know I'm not the only one this is happening to.  Anyone have advice on how to file a complaint with the BBB?  This is SO frustrating, as the $300 reward is one of the ONLY reasons I added a line to my plan right now.

Hi,

Here is the link below to file complaint with BBB. File it ASAP.

https://www.bbb.org/us/ga/atlanta/profile/long-distance-phone-service/att-0443-7935

Likewise, please read my previous posting about VoiceMail from Lolita
Harris from the Office of the President of AT&T.

I just received a call from her, THE FIRST TIME EVER, to talk about my
complaint because I mentioned in my BBB reply that I only received
voicemail not call from her. BTW, this is possible to just leave VM and not
call the person. She was NEVER on my call log on my phone. She said she
called 2x. No call logs on my phone. Just a beep that I just received a VM.
So, if you just received a VM from her and NO CALL logs, call directly and
tell her that!

Maybe she thinks we, customers, are stupid.... We live in high tech world,
some of us know how things work. She might think twice before saying that
she called when she never did.

Again, AT&T is really messing up with customer through the reward program.
They are trying to get to people to enroll by enticing reward but they DO
NOT DELIVER / GIVE the reward until we spent hours to ask for it. They
intentionally making it difficult so they don't have to give out the reward.

I hope that you all keep your emails, voicemails, and logs of calling AT&T
regarding this. I am planning to submit this deceitful practice to one of
the local news company who investigate deceitful business practice. The
more evidence, the more solid the case gets.

Thus, please post your problems and results on this thread so that it can
be continually updated.

Hope my information help. If you guys have any questions, please feel free
to post. I will for SURE reply.... not like AT&T who lies.

This is helpful, thank you.

I received a call back this afternoon from the supervisor, Michelle.  She informed me that after doing some research, she had to "manually" add my reward card in the system and that she by-passed the redemption process so I should be receiving the card within 3 weeks at most.  She could not give me an explanation as to why the reward didn't automatically show up in the system like it should have.

I, like you all, believe they aren't automatically generating any of these rewards.  Instead, they are enticing people with the offer in "hopes" that people order and sign up for a new line of service and then forget and don't bother calling in to dispute the fact that they didn't receive the promised reward.  Some seriously BAD business on their part, especially considering I've been a customer for over 15 years and at this point, and have forked over THOUSANDS of dollars to them.  I find it hard to believe that there would be this many cases of coincidence.

I still plan on filing a complaint with the BBB.   I will keep you updated on whether my reward ever shows up and also what I hear back from BBB.
