Changing ownership of a line

So my former fiance bought my phone and my son's. We imported our numbers from another service. He owes me several thousand dollars and said he would keep paying for the phones as a partial payment. I recently got a request started by him to take over the responsibility of my phone and payments. It says if I don't respond in 2 weeks the request gets canceled. Does that mean he will have to continue paying or is he able to turn off our service?

Yes, that means he must continue paying for the phones and service. As noted, he could suspend your service but that doesn’t excuse him from paying. He could also just cancel your service but then he would be billed the remainder owed on those phones, if there are phone payments.

Being the account holder he could suspend your service at any time. He will have to continue paying, yes, but he would retain full control over the account and your personal phone numbers.
