Before you process your transfer, you'll need to keep in mind:

• Your plan, features, and pricing may change depending on your service agreement or offer eligibility. For example, if you had multiple lines, but only one is left after you transfer billing responsibility, you may have to choose a new plan or no longer qualify for an offer or discounted pricing.
• You may see partial-month charges and/or credits on your next bill after the transfer is complete.
• You'll receive one final prorated bill, which covers charges up to the date the transfer of billing was completed.
• You must separate wireless from any other services before you start a request to transfer billing responsibility.

Also, for wireless accounts:

• You can transfer one line or multiple lines on the same account.
• You must pay off or transfer any device installment plans with the lines subject to a transfer request.
• You must pay off any accessory installment plans associated with wireless lines you want to transfer.
• You'll lose any voicemails associated with your lines when the transfer is complete.

To start your transfer, you'll proceed with the following steps:

1. Go to, att.com/tobr.
2. Select Start Transfer.
3. Read the tips then select Continue.
4. Enter your ID and password.
5. Follow the prompts.

Once completed, the new account owner will need to proceed with accepting the transfer:

1. Open the email or text message you received from us. It'll have a link and a verification code.
2. Select the link and choose Accept Transfer.
3. Enter the requested information and select Enter.
4. Follow the prompts to finish up.

If your husband is active duty military, it is not necessary to change account ownership in order to take the 25% discount. 25% discount is eligible for active duty military and their spouses.

If he is retired military, or veteran status, then you need to go through the transfer of billing responsibility into his name in order to take advantage of the discount.
