Can I Transfer Phone to Another Line After a Year
Hello,
I have 4 lines (lets call them A, B, C, D). I want to do an iPhone 13 deal for lines A, B, C with a 36 month contract and put line D on some cheap android phone. Now after a year, line A wants to get the iPhone 14 (this time fully paid, unlocked, bought through apple). Is it possible for line A to give the old iPhone 13 to line D, and continue getting the installment credits? Line B and C will stick with their phones for 3 years.

Sure, you can use any phone on any line. As long as line A continues the installment plan, the credits will continue. Now if you are wondering whether the installment plan moves to line D, it doesn’t. It stays on line A. That also means line A can not buy that iPhone 14 on an installment plan. You could buy it on an installment plan on line D and just use it on line A.

To add more information, I will continue to retain lines A and D for 3 years, just want to change the phones

@sandblaster Awesome, thanks for clarifying that. A tangential question: If we were to lose a phone (lets say Line B) and they buy a new one. As long as they keep the service active, they will still get monthly installment credits even though they don't have the original phone anymore right?

Let's address your device and installment plan inquiry @nahtnam!
Any account changes may interfere with installment credits, we recommend adding our Next Up feature on your new device to be eligible to upgrade early and receive promotional credits off your new device, when you trade in your device.
We hope this is helpful! Thank you for reaching out to the community!
