Can I suspend this account and use Sim for my number I have contract with

My mom and I are on a plan together, a contract. Well I lost my phone but I had an old one... So I went and bought a Sim card kit (use your own device).

Well I activated it and now I would like to know if I can get rid of this account and number and use the sim for my contract phone

Please help! TIA

Yes. You need another SIM card. This time go to an ATT store and have them provide and activate a SIM card with your regular number. If you added a line to your mom’s plan by activating that SIM card, you also need to cancel that line. If that was a prepaid SIM card, just quit paying for it. The card and account will cancel on their own.

Not if you already activated it. Once activated, it is assigned a number. There is no way to now assign your number. Besides, I’m not sure if a prepaid SIM card can be used on a “contract” account.
