Bring your own phone issue.

I brought four phones over from Verizon. Three of them worked flawlessly, but my fourth is having issues.

My LG V30 IMEI is not showing in their system. Calls and 3g work, but it refuses to let me connect 4g. I went into the store and called in, but no one can help. I was told its an invalid IMEI and its only a 3g device. The phone came out a few weeks ago, so maybe the system is not updated?

Hello @jlk6055!

Welcome to the Community Forums! I hope you are enjoying your day so far! Not being able to connect to 4G LTE is an issue. Getting the highest data speeds available are definitely beneficial. I will gladly help to see if we can get this working on your Verizon phone!

Please make sure your phone’s APN settings match the chart in this article. Here are the steps to access the APN settings:

  1. Access the Settings menu.
  2. Locate and select either Wireless & Networks, More Networks, or Connections.
  3. Select Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
  4. Locate and select the option to add a new APN. This is usually accessed by a + symbol on the screen or by tapping the menu button.
  5. Program each field using the settings below.
  6. Save the changes to return to the APN's menu and select the new APN.
  7. Refer to the above page for programming each setting.

Here is a great page where you can check to see if your phone will work with AT&T’s network by entering the phone’s IMEI. This number is found by dialing  *  #  0  6  #

I’m glad I could help! Thank you and have great rest of your Tuesday.
