AT&T threatening to non-renew month to month Wireless Broadband service agreements if it deems excessive use is contributing to congestion.

Is this threat due to the Pandemic? I thought ATT was simply going to throttle my data if I went over. Why would they cancel my account and forfeit the revenue they make from my account for a very minuscule amount of bandwidth increase on their robust network?

Has anyone had this happen? What was your experience like? What should I expect?
