ATT Lies to Customers

I am totally disgusted with ATT.  I have been a customer for a LONG time, I have recently been declared disabled and have fallen behind on some of my bills.  I called ATT to find out how I could use my Plenti Awards points towards my overdue bill.  I was told by an ATT rep I had to go to an ATT Corporate store and they would be able to apply my points to my bill.  So I called the store to make sure they were a corporate store and could do it.  They assured me they were and they could.  I drove over to the store and guess what NO they can't, I must call ATT to have the points applied.  So I call ATT, spend 2 hours of my life on the phone being passed around to 5 different people until I finally get to this lady named Judi who informs me ATT does NOT take Plenti Awards points any more.  Now up to that point I have had 8 different people telling me I CAN use my points towards my bill.  Judi is one nasty "retention specialist" who pretty much tells me I'm tough out of luck and if I don't like it I should file a complaint with the president.  Except there is NO way to contact the president on the ATT web site like she said there was.  Now I'd like to know why I've been saving 8,000 Plenti Rewards points for just a time as this and I can't use them at ATT because some nasty "retention specialist" says ATT doesn't have that program any more?

 

I'm ready to say goodbye to ATT AND Directv.  I've wasted my time and gas today running all over just to be told I'm not worth ATT's time and attention.

I don't think any one is EXCUSING anyone. They are offering their opinion on WHY you got bad info. 

 

Please EXPLAIN why you think they were lying, what is the benefit of them lying to you? (Other than not upsetting you?)

 

Judi correctly told you that Plenti over with AT&T.

Think about it: What do you actually want the COMMUNITY MEMBERS in the forums to tell you???

 

 

 

FYI, I just checked and I have the same 9/28 reminder from AT&T about Plenti.

Judy was the last person after being transferred many many times and being told over and over again the next person will apply my Plenti Points. So yes it was one lie after another 7 different times! Plus I had called before the 30th and was told I had until the end of December to use my Plenti Points at ATT.

I wanted nothing from this community except to find what the email is to the President’s office. JUDY told me it was easy to find on the ATT web page, of course it’s not listed there, just another lie! I have spoken to the President’s office before to get other lies straightened out but that was years and many devices ago.

So without being “rude” you guys are pretty worthless with your “comments” when all I wanted from you was a way to contact the president. An “employee” monitoring this should be able and willing to provide me with it instead of making stupid remarks like the one did on here.

That was incorrect. We understand that you were given incorrect information and have documented it for you. Do you not believe it?

But overall, it seemed rhetorical. As we don't know why you've saving it. 

 

It doesn't matter what we say as you just keep repeating "lies" over and over.

 So it doesn’t count until the president or CEO of AT&T tells you they don’t take Plenti points anymore?  

No matter how many times I read what I just wrote it makes no sense that you asked.  

 Or do you just want the president or CEO to tell you that seven people are poorly trained and it’s all his fault. Well at least that would be the truth wouldn’t it!   Geesh.
