ATT Lies to Customers

I am totally disgusted with ATT.  I have been a customer for a LONG time, I have recently been declared disabled and have fallen behind on some of my bills.  I called ATT to find out how I could use my Plenti Awards points towards my overdue bill.  I was told by an ATT rep I had to go to an ATT Corporate store and they would be able to apply my points to my bill.  So I called the store to make sure they were a corporate store and could do it.  They assured me they were and they could.  I drove over to the store and guess what NO they can't, I must call ATT to have the points applied.  So I call ATT, spend 2 hours of my life on the phone being passed around to 5 different people until I finally get to this lady named Judi who informs me ATT does NOT take Plenti Awards points any more.  Now up to that point I have had 8 different people telling me I CAN use my points towards my bill.  Judi is one nasty "retention specialist" who pretty much tells me I'm tough out of luck and if I don't like it I should file a complaint with the president.  Except there is NO way to contact the president on the ATT web site like she said there was.  Now I'd like to know why I've been saving 8,000 Plenti Rewards points for just a time as this and I can't use them at ATT because some nasty "retention specialist" says ATT doesn't have that program any more?

I'm ready to say goodbye to ATT AND Directv.  I've wasted my time and gas today running all over just to be told I'm not worth ATT's time and attention.

As of November 1, AT&T doesn’t participate in Plenti anymore. You can’t redeem your points with AT&T. It sounds like you talked to several people who were either uninformed or didn’t want to give you bad news.

Judi was the only one to tell you the truth. She shouldn’t have been rude, if she was, but she was right.

there was like an email blast on 09/28 stating that att is not participating to plenti anymore. didnt you receive that?

8,000 plenti points? why didnt you use it before wether ur in good condition or not with your bill? wondering why you just wanna use it now...

but still plenti points can be use to this>>>> Rite Aid pharmacies, Exxon and Mobil gas stations, Macy’s department stores, Chili’s restaurants & Winn Dixie, Bi-Lo and Harveys supermarkets

*** information is disseminated accordingly but we use to ignore it. we only notice it once needed.

So I’m out of luck using my points because ATT didn’t bother to let their customers know they were withdrawing from a program THEY started! That’s nice[Per Guidelines:  Keep it Relevant and Appropriate].

I’m so sick and tired of ATT transferring people to 5-7 different people, no one knowing what the policies are, AND keeping me on the phone WASTING my time for 2 HOURS! MY time is just as valuable as ATT’s and I resent being treated like dirt. Without ME you wouldn’t have a job, yet I’M the one treated like I’M interrupting your life to get questions answered!

Why do I want to use it NOW? {keep it courteous} I don’t blow my points on just anything, I have all kinds of points on all kinds of rewards cards.

I save my points for situations just like this as well as use them as gifts or if they don’t expire I save them for BIG rewards!

No I did NOT receive any email “blast” regarding Plenti points from ATT, and I save ALL emails!

I already answered that, no I didn’t receive any email “blast”. I went back through my emails to verify and there’s nothing there!

My email hasn’t changed in the whole time I’ve been with ATT and that’s been a very LONG time!

I don’t need to update my email since it’s been the exact same one for forever, never changed!

No you’re one of those people who get a few bucks in your pocket and must spend it right away. Same thing with rewards points get a couple hundred or the minimum and you MUST spend.

Some of us know how to save. I've survived over a year on savings because I couldn’t work and just now was declared disabled due to my lungs shutting down. I’ve paid all my bills up until 3 months ago when social security kicked in, now I struggle!

Plenti changes all the time. I’m not sure how you managed so many points, but they expire in 24 months.

since that you are the type of person who like to save as much as you could then you should know to yourself that you have to check things every now and then for the eligibility, criterias and requirements of one thing.

even on physical dollar right that you are saving? you have to check if its already outdated right?
