AT&T False/Fraudulent Advertisement

     Let me state that I have been an Customer with this AT&T for about 20 YEARS.  Before you sign up with AT&T, it is highly advisable you read this.  AT&T today offered me a claim if I upgrade my phone I would only have to pay tax and trade in my current device (continue paying monthly).  I went online to place my order and selected store pick up.  I received a text message confirming that the store had received my order. The order was stated to be ready within 2 hours.  I attempted to call to confirm my order was ready and I was told they had never received it.  Now why would I receive a message stating this if the store had never received my order.  The only reason i purchased this item today was because I had some extra time.  After all this difficulty i spoke to AT&T customer support which were of zero assistance whatsoever. They repeatedly told me that they have no clue what happened to the order and suggested only to cancel the order and reimbursed on a future date credit, not the cash I paid.   Clearly AT&T is attempting to lure customers with their fraudulent adverting.  I have never received such poor level of service from an company and I will pursue to make this as public as possible.  There are many local news companies that would appreciate the knowledge like this to create a report for Millions throughout the Bay Area to view.  It has been done before with a different company and it can be done for another.  The degree of deceiving nature within AT&T will drive away their most loyal customers.   In total this day I have invested 3 hours of my personal time in this mess and missed some chores that needed to complete.  I still do not have my phone or any compensation.  I hope there is someone within this company that will be able to provide assistance with an ACTUAL SOLUTION.  A company like this should learn from other companies such as Best Buy, Amazon, and etcetera in providing superior customer support.  Companies such as these are very scrupulous to ensure customers are providing support that helps.  PS.  I'll be posting on various forums.

And where is the false advertising?   While the missing or canceled order is bafflingly, and ATT will refund your taxes if you paid by card when you placed your order, The rest of the order process was correct - SOP.

How exactly does ATT benefit by this? The order got screwed up, it happens. There is nothing false or fraudulent going on.
