Application Status won’t update

Hi! My name is Mooji, I just applied for a retail sales Consultant couple weeks ago and did my interview the day before yesterday on July 15 But since then my application status has not been updated yet and still says “ you’ve made it to the next step “ this message has been there since July 12. Can I please why it has not been updated yet?

because they haven't moved forward don't want to alarm you but i didn't get an official job offer until 8 months after my interview, i had actually forgotten ii had applied it had been so long but i eventually got the call

they also could be checking references, background check if the position requires one, they tend to hire in large groups and could be getting together a group so when they hire they can have a large classroom of new hires for orientation
