What is the true cost of AT&T Apple Watch plan?
Everywhere you look it says add the Apple Watch to your data plan for $10 so I jumped onboard. After a nightmare of a time getting the watch activated I come to discover that my true added cost is $50! I am cancelling the watch service and downgrading my plan instead.

I'm on AT&T in California. For me the true cost is $23.65 per month. That's $10 per month "access charge" and $13.65 in government fees, taxes and surcharges.

Yes and I am perplexed why the fees and taxes on the watch service are double those on a phone!

My question is why the taxes and fees are double those on a phone! If I can't get a correction on this I too will cancel. Will also start looking at other carriers.

I need to add that I spent 3 hrs on the phone today and still do not have an explanation. Very poor customer service ATT.

That’s nuts. Taxes and fees should not exceed that of phones. Something stinks

It’s because it’s a new line of service and they charge $40 activation fees every time you get a new line of cell service, whether it’s a phone, tab, smart watch, or hotspot

Activation fee is a one time $25 charge, and is not subject to taxes and fees

I was just on the phone with the customer service and he insisted adding the apple watch is a multi-line plan instead of single line unlimited plan + $10 wearable. I asked him to look at their own website but he said the same thing again and again. I am going to cancel the watch.

I always assume its a call center. I don’t deal with them. I second going into the store, better for activation too.
