Wareable issues

Hello, I have a s3 smartwatch and a Note 9 phone that I recently got. I switched my phone out and since then my wearable and phone don't work right together. I don't  have a dedicated line for the watch but when I'm in close proximity I should still be be able to utilize the benefits of having the watch. I can receive calls on my watch BUT I cannot text or receive text nor make phone calls. When I try to make a call through my watch it says 'emergency only', when I try to text it doesn't go anywhere and leave a red exclamation point to let me know that.

 

The watch and phone are synced, it has the on and off option but turning it off and on has no affect. Is there any help for me?

We can definitely help you with this issue that you're experiencing with your wearable. If you'd like to make and receive phone calls or send and receive texts on your smartwatch, we recommend that you Set up NumberSync for your wearable by following the steps at the link provided. You may need to update NumberSync using myAT&T as well. The necessary steps to do so can be found at the same link that we've provided for you. Let us know if this helps.

I'm already connected to numbersync. It is the reason that I can turn numbersync on and off as I mentioned in my 1st post. Underneath the numbers sync, there is also a deactivation button but deactiving the account and reactivating it doesn't do any good, It simply reactivate with the same issues. When trying to turn Numbersync off, It tells me 'mobile network is unavailable' and wont allow me to actually unsync.

Hello @Standela,

 

Thank you for informing us. We recommend that you remove the NumberSync provisioning from your wireless account by following the steps at this link to Change or remove AT&T wireless features on myAT&T. Once that's been completed, please follow the steps from our previous reply to set up NumberSync for your wearable again. Hope this helps.
