Samsung Galaxy NumberSync

So I just bought a Samsung galaxy watch and have been trying for days to get number sync to work with no luck, I have reset the phone and network going step by step according to att website many times. All my watch’s info is correct on my account and the watch is listed as a wearable. So when I get to the point during the sync where the watch is trying to generate the code to enter into my att account the watch icon just spins, I thought maybe it was possibly my signal so I have tried this in an area where I have  full bars....still nothing....anyone have any helpful info or do I need to go to the att store?

thanks

Hi @Sandman01104

Are you using an Android phone? The watch doesn't work with the iPhone or Google Pixel.

If that's not an issue, let's try doing a factory reset of your watch. Make sure your device is powered off. Press and hold the Power/Home button (right-edge) until 'Rebooting' appears at the bottom of the screen then release. Press the Power/Home button repeatedly until the 'Select REBOOT MODE' screen appers. Select Recovery (press the Power button to cycle through options). When 'Recovery' is highlighted as seen in the image above, press and hold the Power/Home button until the device reboots again. Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete then attempt the setup process again.

Please let us know if this works for you.

Greetings @Sandman01104!

You'll want to visit your nearest AT&T Store in order to obtain a new SIM card as that alert you're receiving means your SIM card is no longer provisioned to a network.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Did that...the person there didn’t know her way around the watch I had to show her....left with no fix but a new esim, chatted with tech support where they proceeded to unprovision my sim. Just got a new watch today and sim....still does not numbersync....get all the way to where the watch is supposed to generate the code and it never does the icon just spins then eventually say numbersync not available....this watch seems to be a waste of money

I bought the a Galaxy Watch 46mm at Best Buy to link to my Samsung Galaxy S8+ phone.  Watch works great and interfaces with the phone except for NumberSync in which the icon spins at the Getting Code stage or returns NumberSync Not Available.  Brought the watch to AT&T store and they reset it to factory specs including a new esim.  Same problem with NumberSync.  Hours and multiple telephone calls with AT&T and Samsung later I was told to return the watch although Samsung said the watch worked perfectly.  Best Buy wants a 10% restocking fee if they replace the watch if NumberSync still does not work.  The AT&T store rep said to return the watch to Best Buy and buy one from them but would not guarantee the new watch would not have the same problem.  AT&T Phone rep today said he has never had a call about NumberSync not working yet there are multiple posts here.

I am have the same exact problem getting my Galaxy Watch 46mm to connect to my Samsung S8+ After reading Sandman01104 posts I am convinced that it is a problem with AT&T provisioning and replacing the watch as Sandman01104 already did will not correct the problem with NumberSync.  I also spoke directly with Samsung Support who confirmed that both my watch and my phone are working perfectly.

I gave up completely and sent back my 2nd watch... Maybe I will try in the
future when Samsung fixes these issues.

Funny how everyone at AT&T knows nothing about this issue with this watch
not working with NumberSync yet there are several posts about it in their
forum.
