no connections status on apple watch

repaired my apple watch series  5 on my phone as it was previously paired to my husband. I was finally able to get the cellular plan set up as it was being weird but now the status on my apple watch under celluar says no connection. I have removed and readded the plan serval times and i can not get it to work.  Tired asking tech support and they said something about a new IMEI not sure what to do here.

Hello, @savageb8! Let's get your Apple Watch Series 5 connected!

Based on the information you have provided, let's meet in a direct message to discuss how to get the Apple Watch connected to cellular data. Please check your Direct Message Inbox (it's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums).

In the meantime, check the connection status by:

  • Swiping up from the bottom of the screen to access the control center.
  • The connection icon will appear green if connected.
  • The connection icon will appear red if not connected.
  • If the iPhone is tuned off, but cellular is still on green dots will appear at the top of the screen.

Look forward to chatting with you soon.

Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!

I am having the same problem with the Apple Watch series 8. No connection. Not sure why when everything seems fine. Cellular icon is white instead of green and no green dots when phone is off.
