How to remove Number Sync from Samsung S3 Watch?
I have a Samsung S3 Frontier Watch-Samsung told me that it is associated with AT&T. However, I want to remove that number. How do I do this? I am a Sprint Customer with an Apple IPhone. Samsung told me that I am unable to connect it to Sprint but I just want to be able to use bluetooth connection. Now all of the messages generate from that number that is into the Gear's phone number

Greetings @cardsfan987,
Thank you for reaching out! It should be possible to remove NumberSync directly from the watch itself:
If this does not work, please try restoring the device back to factory settings by following the steps here.
I hope this answers your question, have a great rest of your day!

Hello @cardsfan987!
I’m glad you asked!
Once you disable NumberSync, it will stop getting notifications from the other number. Completing a full factory reset on the watch will allow you to set it up as new. After doing so you can hook your iPhone with the watch via Bluetooth.
I hope we provided enough details. Have a wonderful weekend!

After resetting the device, the number is still in the phone!
Is there any other way to remove it?
Thank You

Good Friday evening @cardsfan987!
Samsung Gear 3 watches are fantastic devices. However they do come with their own caveats. I can definitively elaborate on this for you.
The watch has a built in SIM card, and this is where the number is stored. Because of this, the number even if it is no longer active, will still be tied to the device. A master reset will not resolve this matter
However, you should be able to use the Bluetooth feature on the device. You will still get notifications form time to time, from the old number. These should be general notifications only. Should not allow you access to the number in anyway.
If you have any further questions feel free to reach out to @ATTCares.
Thank you for utilizing the Community Forums, and have a great weekend.

Thanks for your answers. But I have another question: can I use my unlocked AT&T gear s3 as a standalone with another provider in Canada? Will the original number that came with the device remain or will a new number be assigned to the device? Thanks!
