Gizmo watch as ATT customer

I have a gizmo watch that I’ve currently purchased a separate Verizon plan for. I am able to get through all of the steps to setting up the watch but it will not let me pair it with my phone. I tried setting up an AT&T companion app but the companion app is requiring me to put in some special code and it’s acting as if I am a child (not the parent ). 
I was on the phone  with Verizon for over two hours and no one could help and I’ve tried calling AT&T but got disconnected twice.

Anyone with a gizmo watch that help me figure out how to pair this with my AT&T phone?

i think i read here in the forums that the gizmo wont work with at&t maybe @formerlyknownas  would know

You cannot 'pair' with your AT&T phone.

What you can do is add the companion app (Gizmo hub)  to your AT&T phone which allows you to communicate back and forth and track it.

Verizon should have told you how the Gizmo works.

The Gizmo is a "phone ', not a companion device like a smart watch.  If you are treating it that way, of course it won't work.

Hey there , thanks for the info . I do have the gizmo hub app on my phone , and I get all the way to the pairing of the watch and it doesn’t work . 
it’s asking me to pair the watch in order to move forward , and Verizon said that it should be pairing , but it isn’t . They said it’s worked for other Att customers.  .

Does it get as far as the QR code? 

Allow you to scan it?  (page 10 of the PDF guide)

i can scan the QR code and it shows the phone number but then after a couple of minutes it says unable to pair .

🤔. That's not right. 

Any chance you can visit a Verizon store?  

If it hadn't worked for other people, I wouldn't even try, but just suggest you return.

You might also try on Reddit.  Lots of techie geeks on there.
